A slice of Hog Heaven’, Farm Sanctuary SA is the registered NPO where the inspiration is born, awakening a brush with the extraordinary for all who wonder through the impressive barn doors. Located in the magnificent Franschhoek Valley of South Africa, expect to be overwhelmed with solitude - this is a sanctuary, after all. Meet everyone’s ‘second-favourite', resident cow ‘Balloo' - and visitors can also meet Pigcasso and view the available artworks at the onsite OINK Gallery. There are no snacks currently available at the sanctuary (Unless you eat grass and hay!) but water and coffee is readily available. Accommodation is also available in the barn (R1800) and must to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
While Jo Lefson and Pigcasso do not do public painting demonstrations, visitors are most welcome between 11- 4pm on a daily basis at Farm Sanctuary SA. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
